Toner, Carpenter appointed at IBWA

The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) named James P. (JP) Toner, Jr. Director of Government Relations and Dennis Carpenter Manager of Membership Services. Toner’s responsibilities will include IBWA’s government affairs work at the state and federal levels, working with legislators, members and allies to help shape sound legislation, regulations and public policy for the bottled water industry. He previously served as Manager of External Affairs for the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). Toner is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with BA in political science. Carpenter’s responsibilities will include membership recruitment and retention, as well as membership department administrative tasks, including invoicing and reporting. He previously served as Manager, Membership Operations for the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), Inc. Carpenter is a graduate of Ashford University, Clinton, IA with BA Degree in psychology. He has been a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) since 2004.
