Makris joins KMS Australia
Peter Makris joins the Membrane Systems Division of Koch Australia Pty. Ltd. as Sales Manager for the Australia and New Zealand territories. Makris brings more than 20 years of marketing and technical experience in water treatment, membrane filtration and separation technology. Pentair appoints Stauch
Pentair, Inc. announces that John L. Stauch joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in February. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Honeywell International’s Automation and Control Solutions Group and PerkinElmer Optoelectronics. Stauch earned a Bachelor’s Degree in finance from Michigan State University.
AWTP promotes Prince
AWTP, LLC announces the promotion of Cathy Prince to Purchasing Manager, responsible for significant cost-reduction initiatives for 2007 and beyond under the company’s ongoing implementation of the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) initiative. An active member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) since 1989, she has also been a member of the National Association of Purchasing Management, Institute of Supply Management since 2004. Hull rewarded by Watts
Watts Regulator Company presented its Lifetime Achievement award to Gary Hull of Mid Continent Marketing Services, Ltd. The award is presented to manufacturer representatives who have shown a long-standing dedication to the company’s products. Hull has led Mid Continent Marketing for over 25 years and has been instrumental in educating code officials, contractors, backflow testers, engineers and end users regarding application and use of the Watts product line. He is only the second individual to receive the honor.
Waterite Technologies, Inc. announced that Bill Jackson assumed the role of Ontario Area Manager for the company’s Waterite and Filtrex Divisions. Formerly Sales Manager at Culligan Barrie, he brings many years of experience to the position. Kasey Holmer, formerly of Culligan Barrie and Water Depot, Inc., joined the company as Barrie Branch Supervisor. Jackson and Holmer will form the management nucleus for the new Ontario sales organization.
Watts Canada appoints Klobucar
Goran Klobucar joins Watts Canada as National Sales Manager, Wholesale Canada. He has extensive sales management experience, first with Katlyn Controls and later at Dantec Corporation. Klobucar is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and is a Professional Engineer.
B&H announces Rojas-Dourthe retirement
B&H Labeling Systems announces the retirement and acknowledges the contributions of Enrique Rojas-Dourthe. Serving as the company’s Director of Sales for South America for the last 10 years, he helped to expand its successful position as a technology leader in the South American market. Rojas’ retirement will be effective June 30, 2007. Until then, he will assist in recruiting and training his successor, support customers and agents and travel extensively in the region to ensure a smooth transition.
Cartwright appointed CWQA consultant
Peter S. Cartwright, P.E., President of Cartwright Consulting Co. of Minneapolis, Minn. and a member of the WC&P Technical Review Committee since 1996, has been retained by the Canadian Water Quality Association (CWQA) as Technical Director. In this position, he will provide consulting services and educational training to CWQA, assist with consumer questions and concerns and write for the association’s monthly publication, Communiqué. Cartwright has been in the water treatment industry since 1974, has authored almost 100 articles, presented over 125 lectures in conferences around the world and has been awarded three patents. He has chaired several WQA committees and task forces and is a recipient of the organization’s Award of Merit. His expertise includes such high technology separation processes as reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, microfiltration, electrodialysis, deionization, carbon adsorption, ozonation and distillation. William H. ‘Bill’ Harty
WC&P joins readers in mourning the passing of industry veteran William H. ‘Bill’ Harty, (born Dec. 17, 1935) who died Jan 26, 2007 in Port Orange, Fla. after an extended illness. Harty opened his first water business, Eagle Springs Filtration, in Holly Hill, Fla. in 1990. Later, he started The Foundry, a full-service distributor and supplier of RO systems. Harty was a past member of the WQA and a contributing author to WC&P (Output Limitations of Pure Water by RO Systems, July 2003). Survivors include his wife, Clarise; sons

Hamilton joins Aqua Finance
Aqua Finance, Inc. announces Bob Hamilton as its new Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
