 Hawk Measurement's SULTAN series of acoustic wave-level transmitters, with Smartcard 2-wire, 3- or 4-wire configuration, are powerful and effective instruments that emit an acoustic wave pulse, which is then reflected from the surface of the material being measured. The measured signal is temperature compensated to provide maximum accuracy to the outputs and display. The media can extend up to 393 feet (80 meters) from the sensor.

 Hawk introduces the HawkLink interface to communicate with its devices via cell phone networks or the Internet. Units collect input from sensors and switches and then relay them to the company's central server. Connections can be made via cell phone networks or over the Internet. The system can transfer data in both directions, so technicians can also change the calibration and set points on the devices. When connecting, the devices can communicate using the CSD protocol over GSM and CDMA cell phone networks. When connecting via the Internet, the unit can use the GPRS protocol (TCP/IP) over a GSM system.

 Hawk's state-of-the-art Gladiator Admittance Pump Protection Switch is immune to build-up that can be used in applications where pipe or wall mounting with minimal protrusion is required. Simple to set up and calibrate, the probe has excellent temperature stability. Several types are available to meet specific application requirements. The device communicates using Modbus, HART or Profibus protocols; a remote amplifier can be positioned up to 1,640 feet (500 meters) away from the unit.

 Hawk Measurement announces its heavy-duty Gladiator vibration point level switch series, suitable for a wide range of liquids and solids, including slurries and pelletized materials. The sensing element includes two prongs or vanes that are driven to their resonant frequency by piezo ceramic elements, when left free to vibrate. A remote amplifier option is available. Probes can be separated from the amplifier by up to 1,640 feet (500 m). High temperature extensions allow the unit to handle process temperatures up to 302F (150C). Heavy-duty construction ensures years of trouble-free operation.

 Hawk Measurement Systems' Gladiator smart admittance level switch is designed to detect levels of liquid, slurry or powder in a tank or vessel. The unit measures the capacitance or 'admittance' between a probe and the container wall. As the product level rises to (or drops below) the probe level, capacitance is measured, change is detected and output data is produced. The Gladiator can monitor materials with a wide range of dielectric constants, making the system applicable to a large variety of liquids, slurries and powders.
