Hawk Measurement's SULTAN series of acoustic wave-level transmitters, with Smartcard 2-wire, 3- or 4-wire configuration, are powerful and effective instruments that emit an acoustic wave pulse, which is then reflected from the surface of the material being measured.  The measured signal is temperature compensated to provide maximum accuracy to the outputs and display. The media can extend up to 393 feet (80 meters) from the sensor.

Units collect input from sensors and switches and then relay them to the company's central server. Connections can be made via cell phone networks or over the Internet. The system can transfer data in both directions, so technicians can also change the calibration and set points on the devices. When connecting, the devices can communicate using the CSD protocol over GSM and CDMA cell phone networks. When connecting via the Internet, the unit can use the GPRS protocol (TCP/IP) over a GSM system.

Hawk Measurement Systems' Gladiator smart admittance level switch is designed to detect levels of liquid, slurry or powder in a tank or vessel. The unit measures the capacitance or 'admittance' between a probe and the container wall. As the product level rises to (or drops below) the probe level, capacitance is measured, change is detected and output data is produced. The Gladiator can monitor materials with a wide range of dielectric constants, making the system applicable to a large variety of liquids, slurries and powders.
