Malden, Mass.-based Asahi/America Inc., a leading thermoplastics manufacturer providing customized solutions for fluid handling systems in a variety of industries, has received NSF Standard 61 certification on nine different valve models (PVC only) including the new Quarter-Bloc Ball Valve, Type 21 Ball Valve, Type 23 Multiport Valve, Gate Valve and Sediment Strainer. NSF 61 certification clears the company’s valves for use in drinking water applications after finding that the materials used had few or no health effects.
