Density, apparent (Density, true)

The ratio of the mass of an object (or substance) to its volume. The density of water is 1.0 gram per cubic centimeter. Apparent density is the mass per unit volume of a solid sorbent including its pore volume and inter-particle voids; true density is the mass per unit volume excluding pores.
