Chandrasekhar named to IAPMO India post
Dr. K. Chandrasekhar joined the IAPMO Group in January and will be located in IAPMO India’s Bangalore office. He will be responsible for managing IAPMO’s product certification programs, professional certification programs, standards development activities and industry advocacy activities for the plumbing and water treatment sectors throughout India. Prior to joining IAPMO, Dr. Chandrasekhar earned his PhD in environmental science from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi and completed his postdoctoral fellowship in Centre for Ecological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He started his professional career with OK International, then joined the Water Quality Association as India Operations Manager to promote WQA programs in the areas of product certification, professional certification, membership recruitment and consumer awareness activities in India. Dr. Chandrasekhar became India’s first Master Water Specialist (MWS). Based on his efforts, the Water Quality India Association was formed in 2014, where he was COO until August 2016, when he joined Kent RO Systems as GM–Training & Certification. Before joining IAPMO India as Director–Water Systems, Dr. Chandrasekhar was a consultant for ASSE International and IAPMO R&T, promoting product and professional certification in India.
